History Of Jadon Rajput

From the legends of the clan it would appear that the first of Jadon settlement was Mathura at the time of raja Ugrasen and Vasudeva also, At the time of Krishna , the clan was migrated from Mathura to Dwaraka and settled there, The Jadon tribe is one of the most important clan in 36 Royal Races of Rajputs, Jadon rajpoot are found mainly in rajsthan, UP, MP and Bihar in considerable number, there history is quit golden.

jadon Dynasty

The jadons, who have nearly always remained in or near the ancient country of Sursena or Braj around Mathura (Muttra) ,are said to have at one time held half of Alwar and the whole of Bharatpur ,Karauli ,and Dholpur ,besides the British Districts of Gurgaon and Muttra ,the greater part of Agra west of the Jumna ,and portion of Gwalior lying along the Chambal.
now they are found in many districts of UP, MP, Rajsthan and Bihar also.

Yogeshwari (Yogmaya ,/Yognidra ) was the sister of Sri Krishna, born to his foster parents Yashoda and Nand. When Kamsa tried to kill her by way of hitting her newborn head on a slab of stone, she flew away from his hands. She announced that the child who would eventually kill him has already taken birth. She then went to the Vindhyachal Parvat and lived there as Vindhyavasini. A temple there on the hill duly celebrates her.

The title Jadon is traced by Sir Henry Elliot to Yadu or Yadav but it would perhaps be more correct to say that Jadon ,Jadu ,Jadava ,and Yadava are etymologically the same, the former being corruptions of the last. Dr Hornle has pointed out ,Jadon might be simply a corruption of Jadava as Badon is for Badava. The word Jadava was no longer current in vernacular speech and had been superseded by the hindi Jadu (Badu).which by itself would not admit of expansion in to Jadon (Badon).

Arjuna, while he was based at Indraprastha (Delhi), rehabilitated the Vrishnis
under the leadership of Krishna’s great-grandson Vajranabha.
Dwaraka became submerged by the Ocean .The remainder of the women , old men and children of Vrishni Jadu clan were established by Arjuna , some at Martikavata in Kurukshetra , some at Indraprastha with Vajranabha , as their thorne.Later on Vajranabha was settled in Mathura with the help of Parikshita .
